Hello internet! This will be a blog dedicated to different comic book ideas, news, and more. My first blog will be about the upcoming DC Rebirth. Here are the characters introduced so far:
ACTION COMICS:
Superman's costume looks classic, yet modern. I've also heard rumors that this will be the Superman from the Lois and Clark series, which begs the question: Where's the current Superman?
Batman's is pretty cool. Not much to comment on there.
Wonder Woman' looks like it's going back to her original roots, so good for her.
Simon Baz is standard, nothing new there.
Is that Jessica Cruz as a Green Lantern? Sign me up.
Harley Quinn...I really hope that's not going to be her look. The hat just looks stupid.
Killer Croc is in this lineup? He's probably going to be in Suicide Squad with Quinn, so who knows how that'll go.
Damian Wayne and Jon Kent as the Super-Sons. Heck to the yes!
And Wally's back as Kid Flash! This costume is pleasantly surprising, but still surprising considering DC's recent "the 21st century is dark and edgy" phase. Awesome!
Back in black...and blue...
The recent Gayson series was a great look at what Dick Grayson is like without Batman, but it looks like we're going back to it, without the awful red we had before.
A series that focuses on Batman and his villains gallery, eh? I see Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, and Poison Ivy on the cover, so it seems worth my time.
Who the heck are these people? Jim Gordon's got his mustache back, and it's nice to see Duke's still around, but these people are weird. Not good costumes at all.
Batman, Batwoman, Cassandra Cain, Spoiler, Tim Drake, and...Clayface? What's he doing here? Eh, whatever, I love Cassandra, so I'll give it a whirl.
Batgirl goes camping! See how this pans out...
The Birds of Prey! Batgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress. I like Huntress' outfit, but is this Helena Bertinelli, or the Earth 2 Helena Wayne?
The New Super-Man...is this what happened to New 52 Supes' powers?
And just who is this Superwoman? She looks to me like Lucy Lane, but it was stated that she is a new character. Who knows?
So this is Lex Luthor and Superman, but Luthor has some sort of Superman complex, I'm guessing? And Supes and Lois are from the Pre-Flashpoint era, so it sounds interesting.
Also, this looks like the Pre-New 52 Doomsday. Not really sure, though.
Ah, Supergirl. Who would have guessed that you would have the best design. Seriously, it looks just like her classic costume, and the Cyborg Superman looks creepy as the Terminator.
The Trinity. Supes, Bats, and Wondy, with a few of their enemies: Ares, Joker, Doomsday, Lex Luthor (sans super suit), Bane, and Cheetah, so maybe there'll be a super-villain team-up?
The Justice League is face firsthere, and boy do they look snazzy. No Hal Jordan, but Simon and Jessica neatly round up this group.
In this series, the Flash will be teaching a large amount of new speedsters, including Godspeed, who uses his powers to kill.
More GL stuff. The only new thing here is that Sinestro seems to be the host of Parallax again. That can't be good.
Aquaman. It's Aquaman. I don't need to say anything else.
Titans Together at last! Nightwing looks cool, Donna Troy looks nice, Aqualad looks okay, I think that's Lilith, and Arsenal...WOW. Those goggles do not fit you, pal.
Suicide Squad, with Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Deadhot, Katana, Boomerang, and others to be confirmed. I actually like her blonde hair instead of jet-black, and I enjoy reading her series a lot.
He has the Arrow season 4 suit, but he has the goatee, so I don't care.
Hellblazer. Having a team-up with Swamp Thing is just cool all around.
Terry's back. Rejoice!
My favorite villain gets another series. Not a fan of his previous ones, but this looks promising.
And the Blue Beetle returns, with Ted Kord in a mentoring role. Very nice indeed.
Damian Wayne leading the Teen Titans. Last time that happened, it didn't go so well. But I like everybody's designs, especially Starfire and Raven. Nice to be getting back to classic routes instead of sexiness and feathers all around.
I'm pretty sure more images will pop up, but there's been no word yet on Gotham Academy: Second Semester, Justice League of America, or Earth 2. But overall, this looks like a great attempt at fixing what went wrong in the New 52. Props to DC!
